Dr. Rakesh Pant

Dr. Rakesh Pant is an academician, researcher and Library & Information Science professional with experience in academic librarianship, research and scholarly communication. He has published 14 research papers in reputed national and international journals and has authored one book and five book chapters, including one book and four book chapters for Uttarakhand Open University. He is also the holder of one Design Patent.

He has been honoured with the Young Achiever Award by Aastha Foundation and the Young Professional Award by Scientific Development in Agricultural and Technology Field for his professional and academic contributions. His areas of interest include Library & Information Science, ICT applications, Digital Libraries, Knowledge Organization and emerging technology, healthcare and community service.

Beyond academics, Dr. Pant has contributed to community service as a Supervisor in the Pulse Polio Immunization Programme and is a member of the Indian Red Cross Society. He also possesses around six years of professional experience in the hospital sector as an X-Ray, Plaster and OT Technician, giving him valuable practical exposure to healthcare services. His multidisciplinary experience combines academics, research, innovation, library services, healthcare and community service.
